What are vitamins, and how do they work?

When most people think of vitamin supplements they think of those in pill or powder form. However, there are other types of vitamins and minerals that can be found in supplements and many of these vitamins and minerals can have their benefits in pill or capsule form as well. One example of this would be the LLAPHealth vitamins A, C, E, B, D, and K. These vitamins play an important role in proper body functioning and are also used to help heal the body when it has been injured. In the past, vitamin C was often used as a poison, but today we take it because of its benefits. In addition to this there are several other types of vitamins and minerals that have had beneficial effects in treating certain diseases or conditions like the skincare products do.

These substances are chemically engineered to mimic the effects of the beneficial vitamins and minerals. For example, LLAP Health vitamin C can be introduced to foods so that the body can synthesize it and ingest it properly instead of needing to eat an already synthesized vitamin. A synthetic nutrient can also deliver nutrients both directly to the body, as in the case of Calcium and Magnesium, or indirectly through the digestive system in the form of vitamins and minerals. A nutrient can be indirectly delivered in the form of chemicals and other substances as well, such as B-12 and Zinc.

Some food supplements also contain essential fatty acids in pill or capsule form instead of just using fish oil. Essential fatty acids are important in maintaining health and having a healthy metabolism, however, they cannot be digested directly in the human body. This is where supplements come in to help.
